F.O.T.H Media
Front of the House Media is the brain child of Dorelle McPherson and Princessa Washington. Formed in January 2008 the creation of this PR and Management powerhouse was a natural progression. From the Fashion Industry to the Entertainment Industry the two PR divas were know for their successful events, networking and publicity efforts in the areas of Fashion, Music and Entertainment.
Princessa Washington is a seasoned veteran if one can be in the ever changing fashion industry. Princessa, has worked behind the scenes at Fashion Week in NYC, for designers such as Gary Graham, and has also worked with stylists, styling Camille McDonald (a former contestant on Tyra Bank’s hit show, “America’s Top Model”), as well as April Woodward, one of the hosts of “Inside Edition”. She was the wardrobe assistant for the movie, Getting Played, starring Vivica A. Fox, Stacy Dash, and Bill Bellamy, and was later featured on Metro TVs “Full Frontal Fashion” with Robert Verdi. Princessa even handled the press for heavyweight boxer Roy Jones Jr. for the “Roy Collection” during the Olympus Fall 2005 Fashion Week. In addition to working with Ron Smith of Showroom 30 for the Spring 2006 Fashion Week at the Altman Building, as well working with Show G doing product placement for upcoming designers, this fearless stylist is also the Accessories and Market Editor for the magazine Rockstar Ballroom.
That is just to name a few of Princessa’s accomplishments. All of these endeavors were accented by working closely with Dorelle McPherson on her projects as a Fashion Show producer, Stylist and Publicist. Dorelle started out as a stylist in the Fashion Industry after graduating F.I.T with a Fashion Design Degree and a Degree in Advertising and Communications, styling seamed to come natural. Dorelle started out styling for Designers like Greyling King and Robert La Fontaine. These experiences lead to greater ambitions and bigger shows. She worked at the Black Expo fashion shows for two years before landing the account to producer a higher level designers and talent. She was able to bring labels like Enyce, Mecca, Triple Five Soul and Akademicks to the Black Expo and was even the producer for the event. This sparked a fire in the area of Fashion Production and she went on to produce shows for Indashio, Joelle Jean Baptise, Proxima Swimwear, Kandi Kitch, Perfect Blue, NuNu Swinwear, Nary Manivong, and more. Production was only one of her talents. Since Princessa and Dorelle worked together on many of these events it was natural for both of them to wear many hats. Publicity was the biggest hat and they wore, they worked hard to make sure there was press coverage for the aforementioned events.
Publicity became the thing to be nurtured and turned into the thriving enterprise of Publicity and Management. Princessa has since started her own firm in 2005 called Fashion Walks Relations and did publicity for Debra Ginyard and Nicole Williams of the Style Makers, as well as Latonya Blige, Constance White and more. Dorelle McPherson also did publicity as well in her own company called Shyne PR for Jodi Jones, Indashio, SoWear, Rocafella A/R department and more. The management part of the company was a natural turn of events since they were both Model Bookers at one point in their careers. Dorelle McPherson worked for the renowned R&L Management as a commercial booker, doing everything from development to booking. Princessa worked for Ibadan Management as a Fashion & Runway booker. The two also have a healthy love for journalism and TV, Working for websites, interviewing designers and reporting on shows for New York Fashion Week every season for the past 4 years.
Now they have joined forces to bring you Front of the House Media. Front of the House Media is a publicity and management company that is dedicated to working directly with personalities and talent. People are their passion. This is their website.
